The Mairik needlecraft studio is on a mission to revive an age-old Armenian art form of embroidery into a modern, cosmopolitan age. These hand-made linen pieces are made to order by Armenian craftsmen & shipped around the World.
Our challenge was simple: to integrate the essence of an ancient armenian craft into Mairik’s logo and branding design. We took inspiration from the source material itself. The logo for ‘Mairik’ is intended to look like it belongs on an embroidered handkerchief. The predominance of the colour white draws inspiration from the linen pieces.
